A type rating is a regulating agency's certification of an airplane pilot to fly a certain aircraft type that requires additional training beyond the scope of the initial license and aircraft class training.
Theoretical training consists of CBT self-study lectures and several classroom sessions
All the practical training is performed on Full flight simulators with certification level D
Training & Checking
Type rating course finishes with a skill test on the FFS
The test will be taken by an examiner of ATO TAROM or by an examiner of the customer-airline
TRE/SFE - Initial course
Aim of the course
To provide candidates with the basic skills necessary to become an examiner. By the end of the course the trainee examiner should be able to conduct a License Skill Test, License Proficiency Check and Operator Proficiency Check, where applicable, including the briefing, assessment and debriefing, to the standard required by the RCAA.
Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC)

The objective of MCC training are optimum decision making, communication, division of tasks, use of checklists, mutual supervision, teamwork, and support throughout all phases of flight under normal, abnormal and emergency conditions.
The training emphasizes the development of non-technical skills applicable to working in a multi-crew environment.
